INTRODUCTION
Urambo District is one of the seven (7) Districts that make up the Tabora Region.
This district was established on 19/07/1975 with identification numbers GN of 185 of 1980 after being divided into Tabora Rural District Council and Urambo; Urambo district has two divisions of Urambo and Usoke, 18 wards, 59 villages and 254 suburbs. In 2013, the Urambo district council also divided into two councils namely Urambo and Kaliua.

This district is bordered by Sikonge and Uyui Districts to the east, and is bordered by Mpanda District (Katavi Region) to the South, and North West to Kaliua District.

Area Size
Urambo District Council covers an area of 6,000 square kilometers (6,110 km2) equivalent to eight percent (8%) of the Tabora Region area. The District Headquarters is located in the small town of Urambo about 90 kilometers from Tabora Town

Urambo district staff shall avoid personal conflict of interest in Council business, shall exercise self-commitment and shall abide to the rule of law when executing their duties.
Urambo district staff shall be fair, open, truthful, and honest and shall conduct their duties in such a manner that will protect the Council’s integrity.
Urambo district staff shall participate fully in all Councils activities for the betterment of the Council.
